American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position with a rotating schedule and a current IL RN license requirement.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital-based Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
- Patient population consists of critical pediatric cases with high acuity
- 36 hours per week with 12-hour rotating shifts between days and nights
- Every other weekend rotation including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- Uses the Epic EMR system, with prior Epic experience preferred
- Floating to other units not mentioned
- Must be able to work at least two of the three major holidays, including surrounding days
- A maximum of 10 days RTO (requested time off) is allowed; RTO must be made up by extending contract duration
- No local candidates within a 50-mile radius will be considered for this PICU position
- Return employees must have at least a one-year gap since prior employment; return travelers must have at least a 45-day gap
- Completion of a Cannabis Acknowledgment Form is required
- No block scheduling is permitted
- Active permanent Illinois RN license required at time of consideration
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Current CPR and PALS certifications required
- Minimum of 3 years of recent PICU or CICU experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required
- Two references required, one must be from within the last year
